At the 2008 Academy Awards, the glamorous red-carpet looks of the female stars once again attracted the most attention. On the red carpet, male stars always seem to play supporting roles.

This time, however, top male stars—including Best Actor nominee Johnny Depp, star of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ and ‘Sweeney Todd,’ as well as Patrick Dempsey and Casey Affleck—showcased the finest styles from the world’s leading designers on the red carpet.

The latest issue of ‘OK Weekly’ compared the looks of these three stars in a photo feature titled ‘Guy Style,’ highlighting the men who shared the spotlight at the Academy Awards. On the left, Dempsey wore a two-button black ‘Versace’ tuxedo and completed his look with Fred Leighton cufflinks. He paired it with a white shirt and bow tie. In the center, supporting actor nominee Affleck attended in a classic ‘Dolce & Gabbana’ suit. On the right, Depp walked the red carpet in a ‘Giorgio Armani’ tuxedo accented with dark brown. Depp was accompanied by his partner, Vanessa Paradis, who wore a black ‘Chanel’ dress. Together, they were praised as the most classically glamorous couple at this year’s Oscars.
