This season’s Paris Collection (September 30–October 7) featured designs with a distinctly urban character.
Paris’s signature couture-inspired tailoring was combined with modern, structured silhouettes to create a more technical look.
Following the Milan Collection, the popularity of the bohemian style continued, characterized by a lighter interpretation.
The exotic traveler look was presented as a sophisticated style focusing on the lifestyle of urban women returning from their travels.
In terms of color, light shades with a washed out appearance and bright, vivid pastel colors gained popularity.
Bold shades such as shocking pink, fuchsia, and poppy red were used as accent colors.
Fabrics were presented with a romantic yet lightweight feel.
Airy materials such as chiffon, silk voile, silk-touch polyester, organza with subtle patterns, and organdy were used extensively.
The importance of printed patterns continued through the Paris Collection.
Nature-inspired prints were especially prominent, with modern edges added through computer graphics or artistic touches.
Easy dressing featuring fluid and soft silhouettes formed the core of the collection.
At the same time, the influence of outerwear items continued to decline.
