The ‘2007 Busan International Footwear, Textile and Fashion Exhibition (BIFOT 2007)’ will be held from the 29th through December 1 at the BEXCO exhibition halls and convention hall, with 301 companies from nine countries participating across 556 booths.

This exhibition combines three events—the ‘Busan International Footwear and Leather Fair,’ the ‘Busan International Textile and Fashion Fair,’ and the ‘Prêt-à-Porter Busan 2008 S/S Collection’—providing an opportunity to view footwear, leather, textile, and fashion trends in one place.

In particular, 505 overseas buyers from 42 countries have already been recruited through KOTRA’s overseas trade offices, while 55 companies from eight countries, including China, Taiwan, Mongolia, and India, have confirmed their participation, helping the exhibition develop into an international event.

In Korea, purchasing managers from major department stores, hypermarkets, prominent online shopping malls, and home-shopping channels, along with members of merchant associations and professionals from related industries, will be invited in large numbers. The organizers plan to arrange on-site business consultations while attendees view the exhibition.

Major Busan-based companies, including Treksta, Samduk Tongsang, Youngpoong Shoes, Greenjoy, Sejung, and Kolping, will also participate on a large scale and actively conduct order consultations.

The event is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy and Busan Metropolitan City, and organized by the KOTRA Busan Trade Office, BEXCO, Busan Footwear Industry Promotion Center, Busan Footwear Knowledge Industry Cooperative, and Busan Textile and Fashion Industry Association.
