According to Italy’s ANSA news agency, the organizers of the Miss Italy pageant eliminated Raffaella Modugno(23) from Rome and Alice Bellotto(22) from Vicenza for violating the rule stating that contestants ‘must not pose for sexually provocative nude or semi-nude photographs.’ They had attracted attention by receiving offers to work as clothing and cosmetics models before the final competition, but internet users eventually uncovered their past photographs. In the leaked photographs, Modugno is seen crouching on a leather sofa wearing only underwear. Another photograph shows her lying down in black underwear. A photograph of Bellotto wearing pink lingerie was also leaked. Renowned Italian actress Sophia Loren is a former Miss Italy contestant.
