Korean-Owned Clothing Company ‘Monarchy’···To Take Part in ‘New York Fashion Week’

Korean-owned clothing company Monarchy Group (co-CEOs Eric Kim and Henry Kim) will take part in ‘Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York.’ Monarchy Group, which has earned favorable reviews at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week LA since 2007, will make its New York Fashion Week debut at Bryant Park during the event running from the 13th to the 20th. “New York Fashion Week has strict entry requirements and accepts only established brands, so we couldn’t participate despite wanting to,” said Henry Kim. “Now that we have the opportunity, we’ve put a great deal of effort into making a strong impression.” The Monarchy collection show will take place on the 14th, Valentine’s Day, and is expected to feature 30 to 40 fall and winter looks in a variety of designs. Other participants in this year’s ‘Fall 2009 Collections’ include BCBG Max Azria, Lacoste and Diesel Black Gold. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (mbfashionweek.com) is organized by IMG Fashion, part of the international sports, entertainment and media group IMG, and is sponsored exclusively by Mercedes-Benz. It takes place twice a year in each of New York, LA and Miami.
